RochesterWorks! offers comprehensive employment services to veterans looking for meaningful career opportunities. From job search assistance and resume writing to interview preparation and skills training, RochesterWorks! helps veterans overcome employment barriers and connect with local employers. Their expertise ensures veterans are fully supported in their job search.

Veterans Upward Bound​

Veterans Upward Bound is a federally funded program designed to help veterans prepare for postsecondary education. Whether pursuing a college degree, vocational training, or GED completion, this program offers academic instruction, career counseling, and support in navigating financial aid. Veterans Upward Bound empowers veterans with the tools they need to achieve their educational and career goals.

Veterans Benefits

New York State Department of Veterans’ Services

We partner with the New York State Department of Veterans’ Services to help veterans and their families access the benefits they’ve earned. A Veterans Benefits Advisor is available on-site to assist with applications for state and federal benefits, including compensation, pensions, healthcare, and more. This trusted resource ensures veterans have expert guidance through the often-complex benefits process. Veterans benefits counseling is provided at no cost by NYS Department of Veterans’ Services.

Veteran Discount Program

Monroe County Veterans Discount Card Program

Note: This program is temporarily paused while the Monroe County Clerk’s Office and the Monroe County Veterans Service Agency work to relaunch it as the Monroe County Return the F.A.V.O.R. (Find and Assist Veterans of Record) program.

We help veterans connect with the Monroe County Veterans Discount Card Program. This program offers veterans a photo ID card that unlocks discounts at participating businesses throughout the county. It’s a simple way for local businesses to give back to veterans while helping veterans save on everyday goods and services.
