In 1965 VP Supply was purchased by Elliot Curwin and Marv Miller. It was a very small company with only three employees. Marv and Elliot had no experience in the wholesale industry whatsoever. The company was started with the support of family and friends as well as Elliot and Marv’s grit and determination. They had a simple philosophy: Work harder than your competition and treat people right.

From the very beginning charity was an important part of the company. Marv and Elliot both had humble roots and never forgot where they came from. Whether the charities were large or small, giving was alwaya a part of the culture. Elliot Curwin passed away on January 23rd , 2003 after a brief battle with cancer. Marv Miller passed away on October 22nd, 2017.

This tournament started in 2003 in memory of Elliot’s leadership roles in Rochester’s non-profit charities. Our tournament will honor both Elliot and Marv and all proceeds will go back into the community that they both cared so much about.

Proceeds from the 2022 Elliot Curwin Memorial Golf Tournament will benefit Veterans Outreach Center’s Richard’s House and Otto House, Vertus High School, & Rochester Community Inclusive Rowing
