Veterans Outreach Center Needs Your Help Now More Than Ever
Hello Friends,
At Veterans Outreach Center, we are dedicated to ensuring that our local veterans have the services and support they need to thrive after military service. From employment services and transitional housing, to Veterans Treatment Court and massage therapy, we have a wide variety of services to support veterans who may be grappling with the lingering effects of combat, social isolation, or other transitional challenges. However, without the support of our local communities and legislators, the critical work we do every day is not possible.
Since the close of this year’s budget, NY State cut Veterans Outreach Center’s funding by $250,000. That means cutting our ability to help veterans with their resumes, find jobs, and even battle homelessness. While we have received verbal and written support from many of our local legislators, unfortunately the funding has not been reinstated.
It is at this time we are calling on you, our friends and patriots in Western NY, to help us offset this cut in funding. We have been in the Rochester community for more than 40 years providing services to the brave men and women who sacrificed for our freedoms and our country, and we hope to stay in the community for another 40+ years. Please consider making a donation to Veterans Outreach Center so we can continue to provide essential services to the thousands of military men and women who come through our doors every year.
Sincerely,
Laura Stradley
